Nanliao Fishing Habor (南寮漁港)
Nanliao Fishing Harbor was officially opened in 1991 and spans an area of 91 hectares. It is well-equipped with comprehensive public facilities, including well-developed transportation and utilities. In response to the growing popularity of recreational fishing and marine tourism in Taiwan in recent years, the city government has planned an entertainment fishing boat marina and a sports park, enhancing Hsinchu Fishing Harbor's role in both recreational fishing and diverse leisure activities.

Xiangshan Crab Watching Boardwalk

Xiangshan Wetland in Hsinchu City is a nationally significant wetland. With its abundant fish and crab resources, it serves as a crucial stopover for migratory birds traveling south and north. During the right season, visitors can witness the migration and breeding of these birds in the wetland.

Monuments of  Hsinchu 
  • Hsinchu City God Temple is located on Zhongshan Road in the North District of Hsinchu City and is designated as a municipal historic site. It was founded in 1748 at the initiative of Tamsui Sub-Prefect Tseng Yueh-Ying. 
  • Yingxi Gate's lower section, made of granite, features a circular arched entrance.  In front, a stone stele records Zhuchian’s history, while the "Heart of Hsinchu" plaza symbolizes the city's culture.
  • Hsinchu Train Station was designated a national historic site in 1998. As Taiwan’s oldest operating station, it serves 40,000 passengers daily and holds deep cultural significance for the city.
  • Hsinchu Prefectural Hall was built in 1925 and inaugurated the following year. It underwent multiple expansions and renovations, eventually becoming today's Hsinchu City Hall.

Neiwan Old Street (內灣老街)
Nestled in Hengshan Township, Neiwan is a historic mountain town. During the Japanese colonial period, Neiwan thrived due to the timber and mining industries, with bustling commerce and lively streets lined with shops. Though it is no longer a commercial hub, its rich past lingers in every alley. Strolling through Neiwan Old Street, one can almost hear echoes of its vibrant history.

Dong'an Old Bridge(東安古橋)
Spanning the Niulan River, Dong'an Bridge is a five-arch stone bridge that blends structural integrity with aesthetic elegance. Originally named "Caifeng Bridge," it was built in 1933 as a vital link between Guanxi’s town center and Dong’an Village.

Beipu Old Street (北埔老街)
This area features historic landmarks like Jinguangfu Hall, Tianshui Tang, and Jiang A-Xin Mansion. Stroll the old street to enjoy Hakka cuisine and admire traditional architecture.
Beyond the main street, charming alleys reveal cozy cafés and tea shops. Wandering the red brick lanes feels like navigating a maze, with surprises at every turn.
